Hazy Eye Shad Rig - Complete. This Hazy Eye Shad Rig (Product Code HTL 00001) is a ready-to-fish tandem rig. The intent of a tandem rig is to allow the angler to catch two fish at a time. To use the Complete Hazy Eye Shad Rig, simply tie your fishing line onto the monofilament loop at the top of the rig and place your choice of a slab spoon on the metal snap at the bottom of the rig. You're now ready to fish. You may adjust the position of the Hazy Eye Shad up or down anywhere on the leader by moving the bright yellow line stops. Be sure to leave about 1/8 inch of sliding space for the clear bead. This will keep the Hazy Eye Shad Rig tangle free. Instructions on fishing the rig are included in the package. The Hazy Eye Shad Bead is what allows for the tangle free feature not found in other tandem rigs such as those tied with a 3-way swivel. The bead, coupled with line stops (not included), is adjustable (up or down the line) and slips up and down on your fishing line when under great strain thus reducing the likelihood of breakoffs especially when double hybrids are hooked.

White Willow Spoon. (Product Code HTL00006) This is my single most effective downrigging lure for hybrid striper and white bass on Belton and Stillhouse Hollow. The size imitates both threadfin and small gizzard shad and is therefore attractive to both game species. The lure is made with quality components including an extremely tough, heat cured, powder coat finish and needle sharp Gamakatsu round bend treble hooks.
